1. I think that the spreadsheet is an awesome way to learn how use creative technologies to enhance your learning ability when trying to study. I really like how involved the spreadsheet is when it comes to math, I mean all you have to know how to talk to the computer by using its key board and mouse and BOOM! The spreadsheet will work out the math equation for you. I think spreadsheets improve the learniong envoronment in a classroom.
2. Yes and yes. I would certainly use spreadsheets in my class room, because after I have taught them about the writing process, as well as, how to brainstorm their ideas then I will show them how they can better succeed even more brainstorming creating an order of organization skill sound on the spreadsheet to ahv ea drawn out ideas that will eventually turn into a story.
3. As a teacher I would highly encourage my students to practice learning the technology skills that will guide students to think more critically about math arithmetic, language, the writing process, and most importantly reading. All academics revolve around reading. As a result, spreadsheet will enhance students reading skills. Therefore, they will learn how to mentally use reading practice skills on spreadsheet.
4. What are the advantages of spreadsheet over calculator? The advantages of using spreadsheet over calculators is that with spreadssheets you do not have to puch certain numbers in the spreadsheet to get the answer all you have to do is simply high light and click on an icon on the top line bar. In contrast, with the calculator you have to puch certain numbers in the right order along with the math sign in between and then punch the equals button to get the answer. As a result, if you do not punch the buttons in the right order the entire equation will force you to punch in the equation in the calculator all over again, but with the spreadsheet you don't have to do even that.
5. I really enjoyed reading about the the three functions that of the spreadsheet. I believe that when students better understand the relationship between either problem solving the variables in a math problem or reading and story or a text book and underlining the context clues as you read is most important part about understanding what one just read. Literature and math equations can be made so simple just by understanding how to use spreadsheet to assist the students guidance along throughout the process of learning. I also think that teachers could get creative and use spreadsheets as a academic behavior map that states how willing the child or adolescent will cooprate with the rules of the classroom. For example, if the child gets in trouble at anytime during the week he or she gets the red color put on the red sheet to keep track of thow well the child obeyed the rules of the classroom. In contrast, for the child that obeyed all the rules instructed than that student gets a green sticker for good behavior. Therefore, if the obedient student gets all five stickers at the end of the week than that student gets a surprise at the end of the week for good behavoir.#21
